Yes. slam.video runs entirely in your browser, so there's no server cost to pass on. No accounts, no subscription, no watermark.
Where do my files go?+
Nowhere. Everything happens locally in your browser using the File API, MediaRecorder, WebCodecs and ffmpeg.wasm. We never see your video.
Can I record my screen and webcam together?+
Yes — the ▣+● Both button records your screen with a circular webcam overlay (Loom-style), mixes mic + system audio, and drops the result on your timeline ready to edit.
Does my project save?+
Automatically, to your browser's IndexedDB. Close the tab and come back later — clips, keyframes, fonts, filters, all restored.
What formats can I import?+
Anything your browser can decode: MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, JPG, PNG, GIF.
Will it work on my phone?+
Best on desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). Mobile works for light edits but big exports and screen recording need horsepower.
